Leger Chess Construction

In Leger, (13.5” x 13.75” x .75”, 2019) the depth and dimension of the parts contrast with flat alternating stripes of text and imagery from Fernad Leger’s Still Life: King of Diamonds, 1927. The color and shape of he recycled parts resemble thre blocky forms, black & white lines and dots in Leger’s painting..  A vivid yellow piece bridges the background to the green circuit boards. One is thick with gold trim, the other is thin and spear-like. It is a dynamic arrangement of orange copper, green circuit boards and yellow, black and tan.
